It is the case of the petitioner that his arms license was cancelled by an order dated 5.2.2005 passed by the licensing authority, Mainpuri. Aggrieved by the said order the petitioner has filed an appeal before the Commissioner, Agra Division, Agra on 21.2.2005. The submission is that although nearly one year has passed but till date the appeal of the petitioner has not been decided.
Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this writ petition is disposed of finally with the direction that the Commissioner, Agra Division, Agra shall dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner against the order dated 5.2.2005 of the licensing authority, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him.
With the aforesaid observation/direction this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to cost.
