Heard Sri Vijay Gautam, Advocate on behalf of the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel on behalf of the respondents.
The petitioner seeks promotion on the post of Head Constable (Special Category) in pursuance of the Government Order dated 27th January, 2004 and circular letter dated 28th January, 2004, with all consequential benefits.
In the opinion of the Court the grievance raised on behalf of the petitioner requires consideration at the first instance by the authorities themselves. Therefore, it is provided that the petitioner may make a representation, ventilating all his grievances before respondent no. 3 within two weeks from today along with a certified copy of this order.
On such a representation being filed the respondent no. 3 shall consider and decide the same, strictly in accordance with law, by means of a reasoned speaking order, preferably within four weeks from the date the representation is filed.
Writ petition is disposed of.
