Petitioner, on the strength of his being a handicapped son of deceased Sri Khadag Singh, who was employed as Constable in U.P. Police Service, seeks payment of family pension. The representation made by the petitioner in that regard dated 18.3.2002 is pending consideration before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Etawah. Hence the present writ petition.

Without entering into the merits of the claim set up by the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Senior Superintendent of Police, Etawah to consider and decide the representation so made by the petitioner dated 18.3.2002, strictly in accordance with law and in light of the government orders applicable, by means of a reasoned speaking order, preferably within four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
