Hon'ble Janardan Sahai, J.

    Learned Standing Counsel who represents respondents prays for and is granted six weeks time to file counter affidavit. The petitioner will have three weeks thereafter to file rejoinder affidavit.

        Until further orders the operation of the order dated 31.7.2003 passed by the Additional Commissioner, Allahabad shall remain stayed provided the petitioner deposits half of the amount of deficient stamp duty found under the impugned order and an equal sum towards penalty (viz a sum equal to half of the deficient amount of stamp duty) before the Additional District Magistrate (Administration), Allahabad. In case of default the order shall stand vacated. Any amount

deposited by the petitioner in pursuance of the impugned order shall be adjusted.
