Heard counsel for the parties and perused the record.
The petitioner was selected for the post of driver in UPSRTC in July, 2005. He was required to submit certain papers before issuance of the appointment letter. He applied before respondent no.2, the SSP, Azamgarh for issuance of a Character certificate which he refused. In this regard he has also made representation dated 15.12.2005 before respondent no.2 which has remained unactioned till date.
The only prayer of the counsel for the petitioner at this stage is that a direction may be issued to respondent no.2 to decide the aforesaid representation dated 15.12.2005 of the petitioner within a time bound frame fixed by this Court.
The counsel for the respondents has no objection to this prayer.
In the circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner dated 15.12.2005 by a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of 10 days from the date of submission of a certified copy of this order.
