The petitioner has filed the present writ petition praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to consider his candidature for appointment on the post of Shiksha Mitra for the session 2005-2006.

From the record it transpires that the respondent Nos. 4 and 5 were appointed as Shiksha Mitra. The petitioner has not prayed for cancellation of their appointment. Further the   terms of appointment on the post of Shiksha Mitra would come to an end in May, 2006. Consequently, no useful purpose would be served in issuing any direction to the opposite parties.

The writ petition is dismissed.
