This writ petition has been filed for deciding the pending suit within a period to be fixed by this Court.

We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have perused the material available on record.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, we are satisfied that the petitioner has made out a case for issuance of such a direction. We, therefore, direct the Civil Judge (Junior Division) Deoria to decide the Original Suit No. 1695 of 2002 (Shatrutosh Singh & Ors. Vs. Shanker Singh & Ors.) expeditiously giving strict adherence to the provisions of Order XVII Rule 1 of the Code of Civil Procedure.

Subject to the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
