Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the State authority.
The petitioner claims that he is in possession of the land in dispute and is entitled to the benefits of the government order dated 16.1.1973. It is stated by the petitioner's counsel that a representation dated 20.3.2006 has been made by the petitioner to the District Magistrate, Pilibhit, copy of which has been annexed as Annexure-2 to the writ petition. The only prayer pressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the District Magistrate, Pilibhit be directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a time bound.
Without expressing any opinion upon the merits of the petitioner's case the writ petition is disposed of finally with a direction to the District Magistrate, Pilibhit to dispose of the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law, if possible, within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed by the petitioner before him.
