Kusum Agrawal & Another v. State Of U.P. Thru' Secy. Revenue & Others - WRIT - C No. 26713 of 2006 RD-AH 9610 (16 May 2006)
Hon'ble Dr. B.S. Chauhan, J.
Hon'ble Dilip Gupta, J.
This writ petition has been filed raising the grievance that under the Indian Stamp Act, the Statutory Authority had passed the order dated 28.02.2006, against which the petitioners have filed a revision under Section 56 (1-A) of the Indian Stamp Act before the learned Divisional Commissioner, Agra along with application for interim relief. However, the application for interim relief has not yet been decided and the petitioners apprehend that the amount of deficiency of stamp to the tune of Rs. 87,983/- may be recovered from them and if it is so recovered, it will adversely affect their cause.
After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, we dispose of this writ petition requesting the learned Divisional Commissioner to consider and decide the application for interim relief filed along with the revision, expeditiously.
