Petitioner has approached this court requesting therein that writ in the nature of certiorari be issued for quashing order dated 12.1.2005, by means of which  Ajay Kumar Tripathi and Pramod Kumar Pandey had been accorded promotion w.e.f. 30.6.1999 and 30.6.2000 respectively.

Brief background of the case is that petitioner has been appointed in the institution concerned pursuant to the appointment letter dated 19.12.2002 as Lecturer in English and he joined the institution on 1.1.2003. Promotion had been accorded to Ajay Kumar Tripathi and Pramod Kumar Pandey by the Joint Director of Education on 12.1.2004 from the retrospective date. After said promotion had been accorded, appointment letter had been issued on 15.2.2004 and salary was also fixed on 24.5.2004. Petitioner at the  said point of time never  questioned the aforementioned appointment and from the own showing of petitioner, he has represented the matter for the fist time on 21.3.2007. Challenge, which is sought to be made, is belated challenge, which is not at all permissible.

Consequently, writ petition lacks substance and same is dismissed.
