Ram Singh v. State Of U.P. & Others - WRIT - C No. 25353 of 2007 RD-AH 10183 (25 May 2007)
Hon. Sunil Ambwani, J.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
The petitioner has confined his relief for expeditious disposal of his pending Appeal No. 183 of 2006-07 Ram Singh Vs. State of U.P. under clause 28 of the U.P. Scheduled Commodities Distribution Order 2004.
The petitioner's stay application was rejected on 5.4.2007 and the matter was fixed for 26.4.2007. Learned counsel for the petitioner apprehends that the appeal will be delayed. He has not placed on record any such material to harbour such apprehension. It is contended that in case of delay the villagers will suffer, as the alternative arrangement will put them to hardships.
The writ petition is, as such, disposed of with the observation that the Commissioner will do well to decide the appeal expeditiously.
