Heard counsel for the petitioners and the learned standing counsel.
Learned counsel for both the parties have agreed that the writ petition be disposed of without inviting counter affidavit.
This writ petition has been filed by two petitioners. Petitioner No. 1 is Smt. Rita Devi and petitioner No. 2 is Dilip Kumar. Both the petitioners have claimed to have married on 12.5.2006 in a temple in presence of the mother of petitioner No. 1. They claimed that the petitioners are living together but at the instance of grant father of the petitioner No. 1 , the petitioners are being harassed. It is further contended in paragraph 18 of the writ petition that the local police is humiliating and harassing the petitioners. Both the petitioners have appeared before the Court as identified by their counsel, and have stated that they were married one year before and want to live together.
Considering the facts of the present case the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no. 3 to take steps for protection of the lives of the petitioners in accordance with law.
With the above observations the writ petition is dismissed
