The petitioner is aggrieved by the suspension order dated 18.5.2007 which has been passed under sub-rule 3(a) of Rule 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Government Servant (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1999 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Rules').
Learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that the petitioner had been suspended on 20.4.2007 and later on released on bail on 27.4.2007 in Case Crime No. 150 of 2007. After he had been released on bail, though initially he was permitted to work but subsequently he was suspended by the impugned order.
After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, this petition is disposed of with a direction that in the event the petitioner files an application before the Competent Authority under sub-rule 3(a) of Rule 4 of the Rules, the authority shall pass an appropriate order in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of four weeks from the date the objection is filed along with a certified copy of this order.
