This petition has been filed for a direction upon the respondents to pay the insurance amount of the deceased husband of the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that even though sufficient time has lapsed, no decision has been taken in the matter.
Learned Standing Counsel appears for respondent nos. 1, 2 and 4, Sri D.C. Tripathi appears for respondent no.3 while Sri V.K. Chandel appears for respondent no.5.
Sri V.K. Chandel, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.5 states that the Director, Local Body, U.P. has already sent a report to the Insurance Corporation on 24th April, 2006 and, therefore, decision shall be taken expeditiously by the Life Insurance Corporation.
In view of the aforesaid, this petition is disposed of with a direction that the Life Insurance Corporation shall take a decision in the matter expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of the order is produced by the petitioner before the Branch Manager of the Corporation.
