HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE OF ALLAHABAD

Hon'ble Arun Tandon, J.

The Commissioner under the impugner order has recorded that the land purchased by the petitioner is adjacent to Chiranjiv Vihar and in respect of the area the circle rate notified by District Magistrate is Rs. 350/- per square metre.  Petitioner has not paid stamp duty at the said rate.  The demand raised is justified. Accordingly the Appeal filed by the petitioner has been dismissed.  There is no illegality or infirmity in the order passed.  No ground for interference is made out under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

Writ petition lacks merit and is accordingly dismissed.
