Heard counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel. By consent of parties this writ petition is being disposed of.
By this writ petition the petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner on the post of Assistant Teacher on compassionate ground. The petitioner has also prayed for direction for deciding the representation dated 26.7.2005. Petitioner claimed to be unmarried daughter of late Jai Pratp Singh who was working as Principal, Primary School Margoopur, Badlapur District Jaunpur. Petitioner's case is that her father died on 26.12.2000 while in service. Petitioner made an application on 26.7.2005 claiming for compassionate appointment. It is contended that the report has been sent by the Assistant Basic Shiksha Adhikari vide letter dated 17.7.2006 recommending for grant of compassionate appointment but no decision has yet been taken.
In view of the fact that the petitioner's application is still pending ends of justice be served in disposing of the writ petition directing the respondent no. 3 to consider the application and take appropriate decision in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of four months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
With the above observation the writ petition is disposed of.
