A prayer for bail has been made on behalf of the appellant Dev Singh, who has been convicted by the judgement and order dated 08.08.2003 passed by Additional Sessions Judge, Court Room No. 2, Kannauj in S.T. No. 196 of 2001(Ramesh and others Vs. State).
Heard learned counsel for the appellant, learned A.G.A. for the State of U.P. and also perused the order of Sessions Judge as well as the lower Court record.
The appellant has been convicted for the murder of two persons. There are injured witnesses also and specific role of assault by phawra has been assigned to the appellant.
Considering the allegations and the evidence on record, the appellant is not entitled to be released on bail.
Accordingly, prayer for bail of the appellant Dev Singh is rejected.
