Hon'ble Ashok Bhushan, J.
Heard counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel.
The only prayer pressed by the petitioner is that the representation of the petitioner dated 19.1.2007, Annexure-4 to the writ petition, for adding earlier service period which is pending consideration before the Director of Education, may be directed to be considered and disposed of expeditiously in accordance with law. Petitioner's counsel contended that petitioner's pension has already been fixed and he is getting pension but without getting the benefit of earlier service of the petitioner.
In view of the fact that the petitioner's representation is said to have been pending ends of justice be served in disposing of the writ petition directing the Director of Education respondent no. 1 to consider the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate decision in accordance with law. It is made clear that this Court is not expressing any opinion on merits of the case and it is for the Director of Education to consider and decide the same in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
With the above observations the writ petition is disposed of.
