The case of the petitioner is that he was granted fishery lease on 18.6.1997 for a period of ten years, which has run out. It appears that fresh auction was held on 20.7.2007 in which also petitioner participated and his bid was of Rs. 13,000/- whereas the bid of respondent no.5 was of Rs. 20,000/-. Counsel for the petitioner states that the lease has been granted to the respondent no.5. Respondent no.5 having bid for a higher amount, the petitioner has no case. The writ petition lacks merit and is dismissed.
