It is stated by the petitioner's counsel that an application for interim relief has been filed by the petitioner in a case under Section 42A of the U.P.Consolidation of Holdings Act which is pending before the Consolidation Officer since 2006. The payer pressed by the counsel for the petitioner is that the Consolidation Officer, respondent no.2 be directed to dispose of the said application and the case itself expeditiously. Having heard Sri S.K.Yadav holding brief of Sri Anuj Kumar counsel for the Gaon Sabha respondent no.3 and the learned Standing Counsel, this petition is disposed of with the direction to the Consolidation Officer, respondent no.2 to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner expeditiously. The Consolidation officer shall also try to decide the case expeditiously. It is made clear that no opinion upon the merits of the petitioner's case is being expressed by this court.
