HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD

Hon'ble Ashok Bhushan, J.

Heard counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel.

The only prayer pressed in this writ petition by the petitioner is that the petitioner's appeal filed under Section 18 of the Arms Act against an order of the District Magistrate dated 31.1.2004 be directed to be decided expeditiously. Petitioner's appeal being pending for more than three years, it is appropriate that the Appeal No.29 of 2004 be expeditiously decided preferably within a period of six months.

With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
