It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners have filed an application under Section 198 (4) of U.P. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act for cancellation of the patta made in favour of the respondents, which application is pending since 2002 and the Collector be directed to dispose it of expeditiously and within a time bound period.

I have heard the learned standing counsel also.

In the facts and circumstances of the case the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no. 3 to pass appropriate orders in the application if it is pending before him expeditiously and if possible within a period of one year from the date a certified copy of this order is file before him.

With these directions the writ petition is disposed of.
