Learned Standing Counsel who represents respondents prays for and is granted six weeks time to file counter affidavit. The petitioner will have three weeks thereafter to file rejoinder affidavit.

Until further orders, the operation of the orders dated 28.9.2000 passed by Assistant Commissioner, Stamp, Jaunpur and the order dated 20.6.2007 passed by the Commissioner, Varanasi Division, Varanasi shall remain stayed provided the petitioner deposits within a period of two months from today half of the amount payable under the impugned orders before Assistantl Commissioner, Stamp, Jaunpur. Any amount paid by the petitioner in pursuance of the impugned orders shall be adjusted. In case of default this order shall stand discharged.
