Heard counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel.
By this writ petition the petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent no. 33 to correct the Roll number of the petitioner of 1st year Examination of correspondence B.T.C. - 1996. Petitioner's case is that his correct roll number is '9324' but in the result which was declared petitioner's roll number was wrongly shown as '9325'. The Principal, District Institute of Education and Training, Moradabad has already sent recommendation dated 28.11.2006 praying for correction of the roll number which matter is still pending and no decision has yet been taken by the respondent No. 3. In the circumstances of the case no useful purpose will be served in keeping the writ petition pending, ends of justice be served in disposing of the writ petition directing the respondent no. 3 to consider and take appropriate decision on the recommendation of the Principal, District Institute of Education and Training dated 28.11.2006 expeditiously preferably within a period of one month from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
With the above observations the writ petition is disposed of.
