Heard counsel for the petitioner.
By this writ petition the petitioner has prayed for mandamus directing the respondents No. 2 and 4 to release the amount regarding group insurance in favour of the petitioner with interest. Petitioner's case is that the petitioner's father who was working a Head Master died on 28.2.1997. Petitioner's case is that all the retiral benefits have been paid but the amount of group insurance has not yet been paid. Petitioner in this context has submitted a representation to the Basic Shiksha Adhikari dated 25.2.2003 copy of which has been filed as Annexure-5 to the writ petition. Petitioner's case is that no action has yet been taken on the representation of the petitioner. No useful purpose will be served in keeping the writ petition pending in the facts of the present case. Ends of justice be served in disposing of the writ petition directing the respondent no. 2 to consider the representation Annexure-5 to the writ petition and take appropriate decision expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
With the above observations the writ petition is disposed of.
