This contempt petition alleges violation of the interim order dated 31.7.2002 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 28995 of 2002. The Court, after granting time to the parties to exchange affidavits, directed that up to the next date of listing, the petitioner will be paid the minimum of the pay scale for the post of Draftsman. There is nothing on the record to indicate that the interim order was extended though the petition was listed a number of times.
In such circumstances, the proper course for the petitioner would be to file an appropriate application in the pending writ petition but it cannot be said that there is any wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court.
The contempt petition is, accordingly, dismissed subject to the observations made above.
