Rajesh Kumar Pal And Others v. Registrar General, Allahabad High Court And Another - WRIT - A No. - 62262 of 2007 RD-AH 18892 (17 December 2007)
HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD
Hon. Pankaj Mithal,J
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Santosh Pandey holding brief of Sri Amit Sthaleker who appears for the respondents.
The petitioners have appeared in the examination of Assistant Review Officers conducted by the High Court. They were not successful in the said examination. Aggrieved, they have filed this writ petition with the prayer that the answer books of the petitioners may be summoned. According to the petitioners they have done well in the examination but even then they have not been selected. In a competitive examination merely doing well is not sufficient. Success also depends upon the performance of other candidates. Merely because the petitioners have done well and they have not been selected, is not sufficient to invoke the discretionary jurisdiction of this Court. No malafide has been alleged against any person nor any other flaw has been pointed out.
The writ petition is totally misconceived and is dismissed.
