HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD
Hon. Dilip Gupta, J.
This contempt petition has been filed for alleged violation of the judgment and order dated 2.1.2007 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 7765 of 2001. The order dated 30.1.2001 passed by the District Inspector of Schools, Allahabad was set aside and he was directed to reconsider the matter in the light of the observations made in the body of the judgment as also in the light of the decision of the Full Bench of this Court. It has been stated in the affidavit filed in support of the contempt petition that inspite of the judgment and order of this Court, the District Inspector of Schools, Allahabad has not decided the matter. It is correct that time period was not fixed for the District Inspector of Schools, Allahabad to decide the matter but the matter should have been decided within a reasonable period of time. In such circumstances, one more opportunity is given to the District Inspector of Schools, Allahabad to pass an appropriate order expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order along with a certified copy of the judgment and order dated 2.1.2007 is filed by the petitioner before the District Inspector of Schools, Allahabad.
The contempt petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
