This is a writ petition against the orders dated 8.12.2000 and 18.12.2000 directing the parties to maintain status quo in view of the order passed by Supreme Court.
We have heard counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
According to the petitioners the matter before the Supreme Court has been decided by compromise and in view of the same now there is no impediment in executing the order.
In the circumstances of the case,the petitioners may file a representation before respondent No.1. In case any such representation is filed, it may be decided by respondent No.1 by a speaking order, if possible, within three months from the date of receipt of the representation. The petitioners will file certified copy of this order, other necessary documents and a duly stamped self-addressed envelope along with the representation. The respondent No.1 after taking decision will communicate the same to the petitioners.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
