Kamal Singh v. U.P.P.C.L. And Another - WRIT - C No. 11491 of 2007 RD-AH 3523 (1 March 2007)
Hon. Anjani Kumar, J.
Hon. Dilip Gupta, J.
The petitioner is aggrieved by the disconnection of the electricity supplied to his flour mill as the petitioner could not pay the amount of Rs. 1,31,578/- in respect of the bill dated 28th December, 2006 sent to him.
We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ranjeet Saxena learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
Having heard learned counsel for the parties, we dispose of this petition with a direction that in the event the petitioner deposits 1/3rd of the total amount due within a period of 15 days from today and deposits the balance amount in two equal installments at intervals of two months, the electricity connection shall be restored upon the first deposit to be made. In the event of default of any of the installment indicated above, it would be open to the Power Corporation to disconnect the power supply and recover the balance amount.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
