This petition has been filed for quashing the order dated 22.10.2002 passed by the Additional District Judge, Allahabad in Ceiling Appeal No. 198 of 2000.

A perusal of the order indicates that the entire proceedings have been declared to have abated in view of the provisions of Urban Ceiling and Repealing Act, 1999. A categorical finding has been recorded in the order that possession of the land was not taken prior to the enforcement of Repealing Act, 1999. The petitioner has not brought anything on record which may indicate that the possession of the land had been taken prior to that date. In this view of the matter, we are unable to find any good reason to interfere with the impugned order.

The writ petition is,  accordingly, dismissed.
