The petitioner was Telegraphist. He was given officiating charge of Assistant Accounts Officer. Subsequently, regular selection of Assistant Accounts Officers was considered. Petitioner was not given appointment. He made representation dated 06.04.2005. This representation was rejected on 22.09.2005. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

We have heard counsel for the petitioner and Subhodh Kumar for the respondents.

The petitioner has not been promoted, as vigilance enquiry is pending against him.  There is no illegality in the order. However, the vigilance enquiry may be concluded expeditiously and thereafter the result of the petitioner for promotion be declared.

With these observations, writ petition is disposed of.
