State of U.P. and others .....Respondents
Hon'ble S. Rafat Alam, J.
Hon'ble Krishna Murari, J.
In the instant writ petition the short grievance of the petitioner is that the fair price shop of the petitioner's Village Chhani Bujurg has been attached with Swasa Bujurg which is at the distance of about 7 Kilometers.
Sri Shashi Kant Shukla, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the villagers have to travel a distance of about 7 Kilometers to get the essential commodities causing lot of inconvenience and, therefore, this village may be attached with some fair price shop close to the village. It has further been stated that in this regard the petitioner has made a representation before the District Magistrate, Hamirpur on 2.3.2007 and in spite of that no decision has been taken as yet.
Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents no.1,2 and 3, we dispose of this writ petition at this stage with the direction to the District Magistrate, Hamirpur to look into the grievance of the petitioner of Village Chhani Bujurg and dispose of the representation dated 2.3.2004moved on behalf of the villagers by a speaking order, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a fortnight from the date of filing of such representation along with the certified copy of this order, after hearing all the necessary parties.
With the above direction, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.
