Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing counsel appearing for the respodnents. With consent of the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is being disposed of at this stage without calling for counter affidavit.
Challenging an order dated 12.4.2006 whereby the petiitoner was declared unfit and his candidature was rejected, the petitioner filed an appeal before Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Reserve Police Force, Phaphamau, Allahabad, Respondent no.2, on 21.4.20o6. The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that although nearly one year has passed but the appeal of the petitioner has yet not been decided.
Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this writ petition is finally disposed of with the direction that the appeal of the petitioner filed on 21.4.2006, which is pending before the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Reserve Police Force, Phaphamau, Allahabad, Respodnent no.2, shall be heard and decided by the said respondent, in accordance with law, by a speaking order as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two moths from the date of filing of a certified copy of this order before the said respondent.
With the aforesaid observation/direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to cost.
