HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE OF ALLAHABAD

Hon. Anjani Kumar, J.

Hon. Dilip Gupta, J.

This petition has been filed for a direction upon the respondents to permit the voters to cast their votes  after producing some proof in place of voter identity card as many of the voters are not possessed of the voter identity card.

It has been pointed out by the learned Standing Counsel that directions have been issued by the Election Commission permitting the voters to cast their votes upon the proof of certain documents in place of the voter identity cards. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has not disputed this position.

In this view of the matter no directions are required to be issued.

The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
