Heard counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel.
By this writ petition the petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the representation dated 11.7.2006 Annexure-3 to the writ petition. Petitioner's case in the writ petition is that he was selected for the post of Platoon Commander P.A.C. and was directed to join training. The petitioner could not join training and when after four months he went to join, he was not permitted. Petitioner's case is that he has submitted a representation to the respondent no. 2 prying for permission to permit him to join the training. The said representation is said to be pending.
In the facts of the present case ends of justice be served in disposing of the writ petition and directing the respondent no. 2 to consider and take appropriate decision on the said representation of the petitioner expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
With the above observation the writ petition is disposed of.
