This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners contending that they are major and they got married by their free will because of love and affection. However, because of this marriage, the parents of petitioner no.1 are not happy and harassing the petitioners by giving threats. They apprehend threat to their lives. The petitioners are present in the Court. We have examined them personally and they have stated that they got married because of love and affection without any force or coercion and they want to live together.

In view of the above, we dispose of this petition requesting the respondent no.4, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Meerut to ensure the safety and security of the petitioners and protect them from any kind of harassment from the parents of the petitioner no.1 or any other person at their behest because of their marriage.
