This is second writ petition filed by the petitioner that in the earlier writ petition the grievance had been in respect of the fact that the petitioner has filed application and completed all the formalities, but the electric connection is not being given to him. Earlier writ petition No.2050 of 2007 was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 15th January, 2007 directing the respondent to consider its grievance  and pass final order, but the application of the petitioner has been considered in pursuance of the order of this Court , which has been rejected by the order dated 5th February, 2007 on the ground that industrial electric connections are not permissible in the residential area and the petitioner has applied for industrial connection in his residence situated in Teela Shahbaspur, Ghaziabad. We are not inclined to interfere in the impugned order and the petition is liable to be dismissed.

We do not see any reason to interfere with the submissions of the Learned counsel for the petitioner  that in identical situation other persons had also being given electric connection for the reason that the doctrine of equality does not apply negatively. Writ petition is devoid of any merit and is, accordingly, dismissed.
