Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri C.K. Rai, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
The grievance of the petitioner is that during Kumbha Mela, 2001, the officers have taken the petrol from the petrol pump of the petitioner , but could not make the payment and there is outstanding dues of Rs.1,42,478.76, which has not been paid despite several requests made by the petitioner. It is also submitted that a representation has been filed before the Special Secretary and also before the Divisional Commissioner, Allahabad. Sri C.K. Rai, learned Standing Counsel submitted that the Divisional Commissioner may be directed to look into the matter and in case, if the payment is due, the same may be paid expeditiously.
In view of the above, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Divisional Commissioner to look into the grievance of the petitioner. Petitioner may file a fresh application giving details of the dues before the Divisional Commissioner within one week and Divisional Commissioner is directed to consider and dispose of the application within another four weeks thereafter and in case, if the payment is not actually paid, the same may be paid expeditiously.
