This is petition for issuance of directions to the official respondents to hand over the investigation in case FIR No.101 dated 30.8.2006 under Sections 406/420/364 IPC to some independent agency or to an officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police or to the police authorities outside the District Nawanshahar as the police of District Nawanshahar is not properly investigating the case and is hand-in-glove with the accused persons and had not even arrested the accused.
According to the petitioner, although the application of the accused Harbhajan Singh had been dismissed still neither the police had arrested them nor properly investigated the case and that the CRL.M.No.72353-M of 2006 #2#
police of District Nawanshar is helping the accused. It is argued that the accused in this case had been in the business of travel agent and that petitioner along with petitioner's brother and many persons had been sent out by them whereabouts of whom are not known even now.
After hearing counsel for the petitioner, it is directed that DIG, Jalandhar Zone shall look into the matter and depute some senior gazetted officer to supervise the investigation.
With this direction, petition stands disposed of.
