Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the Gram Panchayat is the owner of the land comprised in Killa No. 75/26, measuring 28 kanals 9 marlas, along with other lands of the Panchayat, but these have not been given on lease to any person and, therefore, the Gram Panchayat is suffering a loss in lacs. He has prayed that a direction be issued to Deputy Commissioner, Panipat to look into the matter.
After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to respondent No. 3 to decide the representation dated 03.02.2006 (Annexure P-12), filed by the petitioner, in accordance with law and, take a decision within three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
