CWP No.17953 of 2006
Date of Decision: 4.12.2006
Gram Panchayat of village Naushera Majja Singh Petitioner
versus
State of Punjab and others
Respondents
CORAM:- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JASBIR SINGH
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE PRITAM PAL
Present: Shri R.K.Arya, Advocate for the petitioner Shri P.S.Chhina, Additional Advocate General, Punjab Jasbir Singh, J. (Oral)
Counsel for the petitioner states that in array of the parties, address of respondent No.5 be read as "Executive Engineer PWD, B&R, Pathankot" instead of Gurdaspur. Prayer is allowed. Registry to make necessary changes in array of parties.
Petitioner has filed this writ petition with a prayer to restrain the respondents from spending the amount of grant(s), disbursed in favour of the petitioner, through respondent No.5. It is petitioner's case that amount of grant is required to be credited to the accounts of the Gram Panchayat. Be that as it may, amount of grant was released long back and development work had already started. This Court feels that at this state, if the work is stopped, it will be a loss to the residents of the village. No case is made out for interference.
Dismissed.
