The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C.
for issuing direction to the investigating agency to submit the final report in the competent court in case FIR No.331 dated 5.9.2005 registered under Section 420 IPC at Police Station Kotwali, Sangrur. It has been stated in the petition that in spite of the investigation being completed, the investigating agency is not submitting the final report in the Court.
Notice of motion to Advocate General, Punjab.
Mr. N.S.Gill, AAG, Punjab, who is present in the Court, accepts notice on the asking of the Court. Copy of the petition has been handed over to him.
I have heard the counsel for the parties.
Keeping in view the fact that till date the final report has not been submitted after expiry of more than one year, therefore, a direction is issued to the investigating agency to complete the investigation and submit the final report within a period of two months. In case the final report is not submitted to the Court within the aforesaid period, the extension can be sought from this Court by giving the reasons.
Disposed of accordingly.
