This petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No. 2 to decide the appeal of the petitioner, dated 7.11.2006 (P-1), which has preferred against the decision of the Selection Board, Kurukshetra, in the matter of selection and appointment of Constables in Haryana Police in pursuance to advertisement dated 2.5.2006.
Without going into the merits of the case, we deem it just and appropriate to direct respondent No. 2 to take cognizance of the C.W.P. No. 19433 of 2006
appeal dated 7.11.2006 (P-1) filed by the petitioner and decide the same expeditiously preferably within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is received by him. It shall be appreciated if a speaking order is passed.
Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
