Notice of motion to the respondents.

On the asking of Court, Shri Sukhdip Singh Brar, Additional Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Copies of the writ petition have been supplied to the learned counsel for the respondents.

The petitioner has approached this Court for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 and 2 for supplying the paddy for custom milling in an equal manner as per Scheme framed by the State Government.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has pointed out that a representation dated November 2, 2006 (Annexure P.3) filed by the petitioner firm, claiming the relief which has been claimed by it before this Court, has remained unresponded so far. The learned counsel further states that the petitioner firm would be satisfied if directions are issued for disposal of the aforesaid representation.

Keeping in view the stand taken by the learned counsel for the petitioner, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the District Food & Supplies Controller, Muktsar, respondent No.4 to take a final decision on the aforesaid representation (Annexure P.3) filed by the petitioner firm within a period of one month from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by passing a detailed and speaking order.

A copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
