The petitioner has approached this Court for issuance of directions to the respondents to release the payment for works, which according to the petitioner, have already been completed.
After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioners and taking into consideration the averments made in the present petition, we find that for redressal of his grievance, the petitioner has already served a legal notice dated December 1, 2005 (Annexure P.1), which remains unresponded so far.
In this view of the matter, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Executive Engineer, Drainage Construction Division, Faridkot at Gidderbaha, District Muktsar to take a final decision on the aforesaid legal notice (Annexure P.1) within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by passing a detailed and speaking order and take such further appropriate action, as may be required, in accordance with law.
A copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
