The petitioner filed Crl.Misc.No.38574-M of 2006 which was disposed of by this Court on July 17, 2006 with a direction that she will appear before the Sr. Superintendent of Police, Bathinda and file an application upon which action shall be taken in accordance with law within a period of one month.
Alleging non-compliance of the aforesaid order, this contempt petition has been filed in which on October 09, 2006, learned State counsel was asked to get instructions.
Pursuant thereto, Mr.G.S.Cheema, learned Sr.DAG, Punjab has filed an affidavit of Mr.Varinder Kumar Sharma, IPS Sr. Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, which is taken on record.
As per the averments made in the said affidavit, the application moved by the petitioner was got enquired through Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Bathinda and after receiving the enquiry report, F.I.R.No.98 dated 22.9.2006 under Section 448 IPC has been registered and the accused Kamlesh Rani has been arrested.
In this view of the matter, no further action is required to be taken in these proceedings which are accordingly dropped.
Petition stands disposed of.
