DATE OF DECISION : 09.01.2007

Balwinder Singh

.... PETITIONER

Versus

State of Punjab

..... RESPONDENT

CORAM :- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SATISH KUMAR MITTAL
Present: Mr. K.S. Dhaliwal, Advocate,

for the petitioner.

* * *

This is second petition filed by Balwinder Singh under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for the grant of regular bail in case FIR No. 17 dated 16.2.2005 under Section 15/61/85 of the NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Ghagga, District Patiala. His earlier petition was dismissed as not pressed on September 29, 2006.

After hearing counsel for the petitioner and going through the contents of the FIR, I do not find any fresh ground to grant the concession of regular bail to the petitioner.

Dismissed.

However, trial court is directed to expedite the trial.
