C.W.P. No. 195 of 2007
Date of Decision : 12.01.2007
M/s Padam Cotton Yarns Ltd.
The New India Assurance Company Ltd. and others.
CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE J.S. KHEHAR,
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE S.D. ANAND.
Present : Mr. V.K. Jindal, Advocate,
for the petitioner.
J.S. Khehar, J. (Oral)
We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. A perusal of the averments made in the instant writ petition, as also the submissions during the course of arguments reveal, that the prayer of the petitioner is for the settlement of a claim, emerging from a contract of insurance.
In view of the above, we are of the view that it would be inappropriate for this Court to entertain the instant claim of the petitioner in the exercise of our jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
