This Court on 4.8.2005 had directed the respondents, while disposing of CWP No.438 of 2005, that the respondents were to make sure that in future pension and other dues are paid to the retired employees by 7th of each
month. It is appropriate to mention that the petitioners have expressed grievance that pension to them is not paid regularly. The instant contempt petition has been filed by 93 petitioners alleging the violation of the directions issued by the Division Bench on 4.8.2005.
In reply to notice to show cause, respondents 1 and 2 have filed affidavit taking the stand that all the dues have been paid and a receipt dated 4.3.2006 showing that an amount of Rs.17,77, 630/- has been credited to the Central Cooperative Bank Limited, Karnal, has been placed on record which is mark A.
In view of the above nothing survives for adjudication in these proceedings. Accordingly, rule is discharged. However, the respondents shall remain bound by the assurance given before this Court on 4.8.2005 and shall keep paying the petitioners their pension by 7th of every month.
